Virtual London Marathon, April 2026
We have two spare places for the virtual London Marathon on Sunday 26 April 2026.
If you’ve always dreamed of being part of the London Marathon, but are not able to travel to the capital, are unsure you’ll ever be able to run 26.2 miles in one go or have simply never got round to entering the ballot, we have a solution for you: join our team and take part in the virtual London Marathon on Sunday 26 April 2026!
Friends of Vellore UK supports projects at Christian Medical College Vellore (CMC), a teaching hospital in southern India, and other mission hospitals working in partnership with CMC. The charity seeks to follow Christ’s example in showing compassion towards those who are vulnerable and marginalised. We want to help CMC to ensure that everyone can receive appropriate healthcare regardless of their ability to pay or their faith. We do this by raising funds to support healthcare, education and development projects at CMC that benefit the poorest and most excluded patients and communities.
There is a £30 registration fee (the cost we pay for the place) and a £1,000 fundraising pledge so that your run can help to enable one of our projects.
If you join the Friends of Vellore UK marathon team, you’ll receive a free Team Friends of Vellore UK running vest or t-shirt as well as a fundraising pack with great tips to help you hit your fundraising target.
Most importantly, we’ll provide you with a reason to keep going because you’ll know your donations will be helping to transform the lives of those who will benefit from our projects at CMC Vellore and its associated mission hospitals.
